Richard Stewart Carr Jr. ’49

Richard Stewart Carr Jr. ’49 died at his home in Madison, Connecticut, on March 28. Dick came to Dartmouth from St. Luke’s School in New Canaan, Connecticut. He spent most of his life after Dartmouth in a 300-year-old house in Guilford, Connecticut, where he owned sales, engineering, and travel businesses. Dick was heavily involved with musical, equestrian, canoeing, and Boy Scout activities. He is survived by his wife, Sally, three sons, and a daughter.
