Richard L. Wright ’51

Richard L. Wright ’51 died on March 25, 2021, in Edgewater, Florida. Dick was an active musician at Dartmouth, performing on his trumpet in the Marching Band, Green Collegians, and Sultans, a Dixieland group. He was also a member of Dartmouth’s naval ROTC program, which led to active duty for three years as a lieutenant, j.g., following graduation. He spent his business career in retailing, retiring as a vice president of OK Fairbanks Super-Markets in Keene, New Hampshire. In retirement he moved to Florida, where he owned an Advanced Graphic Services advertising and printing operation. Dick and his wife, Judy, had a large, blended family of nine children and many grandchildren. He was active in his church and the Lions Club and on the board of the local Salvation Army program.
