Phillip B. Mayer ’55

Phillip B. Mayer ’55 died on January 30 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, and is survived by children Amy, Elizabeth, James, and Peter. Phil came to Dartmouth from Milwaukee, majored in English, and was a member of the Dartmouth Outing Club, Jack-o-Lantern, and Kappa Kappa Kappa. After two years in the Army Finance Corps, Phil joined Western Snowplow Inc. In 1968 he became vice president of Luitink Manufacturing, a company founded in 1888. He retired in 1993 and moved to upstate South Carolina.
