Richard Paul Mestetsky ’68 passed unexpectedly on July 21, 2025, in Denver. Rich was born in Portland, Maine, and attended Deering High School, where he was a National Merit scholar and active in drama, student government, and the National Honor Society. A math major at Dartmouth, he was a member of the Students for Democratic Society, Jewish Life Council, chess club, and Dartmouth Religious Liberals. Rich earned a master’s in computer science at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1989. He worked as an instructor at the University of Phoenix and L-3 Communications and later served as senior software engineer at ProServices Corp. in Trenton, New Jersey. Rich is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters Emily and Alison; and granddaughter Avi.
