Peter W. Williams ’57 passed away September 16, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida. Peter was in Psi U and majored in premed. After his sophomore year he left Dartmouth and earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Virginia. He joined the U.S. Navy flight training program at Pensacola, Florida, and New Iberia, Louisiana, where he got his wings. He was assigned for seven years in the fleet, including with the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron and on the USS Randolph and the USS Forrestal. After his military service, he attended the University of Virginia Law School. Peter joined Rogers & Wells, a large prestigious New York City law firm well known for its litigation arm, in its capital market and international finance practice. The firm merged with U.K.-based Clifford Chance in 2000. He worked on Wall Street and in Paris during his career. By 2007 he had moved to Winston & Strewn LLP in New York City. He is survived by his children, Courtney and Peter.
