Peter Holmes Edwards ’54 died August 13, 2025, survived by his wife of 67 years, Suzie. Pete was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, and described in The Columbus Dispatch as a “dapper gentleman, tulip lover, skilled storyteller, and visionary entrepreneur.” He was an Ohio State University graduate and a U.S. Navy veteran who developed more than 50,000 homes and apartments while helping restore the Columbus brewery district. Pete was passionate about Ohio State University and supported the school, the Salvation Army, Columbus Zoo, and the city’s art museum. Pete also is survived by children Anne, Jeffrey, Michael, and Peter Jr.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He had suffered from dementia during his last 10 years.
