Milo Cole Jones ’52 died May 10, 2025, in Johnson’s Creek, Wisconsin. Milo was born on January 25, 1930, and grew up in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1948 from Lake Forest (Illinois) Academy and from Dartmouth with a government degree. He was a member of Zeta Psi. Milo was part of the fifth generation of the Jones family involved in Jones Dairy Farm (Jones Sausage), founded in 1889. Milo joined the company after graduating from Harvard Law School, and his tenure there spanned more than 35 years. He served as CEO and board chair from 1983 until retirement in 1995 and as an emeritus director for the rest of his life. In 1958 Milo married Joan Sexton and they had four children. He had a passion for travel, including a 1953 canoe trip from the Rock River in Fort Atkinson down the Mississippi River to New Orleans. Not surprisingly, Milo was also devoted to his hometown and showed this by serving as a leader in a significant number of community organizations. Milo was predeceased by father Alan, class of 1919, brothers Alan and William ’49, and brothers-in-law Richard and James. He is survived by Joan; children Mary, Margaret, Tom, and Jenny; and four grandchildren.
