Daniel Tiles Weidenthal ’54 of Pepper Pike, Ohio, died June 6, predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Judith. Danny—he of perpetual smile—pledged Phi Tau/Phi Sigma Kappa, worked at the radio station, rowed crew, and later served as an alumni interviewer. He earned his M.D. at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine and became a retina specialist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary; he was one of the first specialists in that field in Ohio. Dan directed the Cleveland St. Luke’s Hospital department of ophthalmology, was a charter member of the retina and macula societies, and an avid golf player. Dan is survived by sons David and Jeffrey, daughters-in-law Laura and Meg, and grandsons Sammy and Peter.
