January-February 2026

Colin Dale Tong ’93 passed on June 30, 2025. A loving father and brother, loyal friend, and gifted musician, Colin’s life was marked by passion, creativity, and connection. Colin grew up in Fresno, California, where he was a standout figure in the classroom and community. He excelled in football, soccer, and cheer while commanding the stage as a soloist in the school choir. He was a rare, peer-pressure-proof teenager: smart, funny, popular, and sober. He embodied what it means to be true to oneself and is remembered for his charisma, integrity, sense of humor, and ability to lift others through acts of kindness. At Dartmouth he joined Alpha Delta—the inspiration for Animal House—where he forged lasting friendships and deepened his creative spirit as a musician. He became a regular presence at Bay Area venues, drawing crowds with his talent and heart. After graduation Colin worked as a paralegal at several prestigious Bay Area law firms and became a management consultant. He married Shauna and they raised Eden (18), Caleb (15), and Harper (14). They and siblings Yasmin and Ian survive Colin. The countless lives he touched will miss his joy.
