Robert H. Nassau II ’63 died on July 10.

Robert D. Blake ’65, a quintessential Dartmouth man, passed away in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, on December 22, 2023, from the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.

Mark Birger Benson ’65 died on July 13 in Burlington, Vermont. “Birge” came to Dartmouth from Hanover.

Frank M. Binder Jr. ’65 died in Mashpee, Massachusetts, on August 4 of Alzheimer’s disease.

Alan R. Gibson ’65 died August 3 in Phoenix of complications from pneumonia. He came to Dartmouth from Mendham, New Jersey; a psychology major, he was a member of Phi Delta Alpha.

Andrew R. Thurm ’65 died on July 29 in Princeton, New Jersey, after a brief illness.

Nathan W. Smith ’67 passed away on August 15 at home in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Larry Alan Griffith ’68 died on August 14 at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, of acute lymphoblastic leukemia with wife Julia and son Ben by his side.

Theodore “Ted” McConnell ’70 of Raccoon Township, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 4. From 1970 to 1974 he served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant on the USS Massey.

Matthew B. Carroll ’71 died on May 18 at his home in Saratoga Springs, New York. He had a large brain and a big heart; the former he donated to the Harvard brain bank.
