Harold Marshall Trusler Jr. ’57

Harold Marshall Trusler Jr. ’57, M.D., died April 11, 2009, in Indianapolis. “Sandy” entered Dartmouth from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis and following graduation received his M.D. from Harvard Medical School in 1960. He returned to Indianapolis to pursue his plastic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center. In the 1970s Sandy served as Dartmouth club secretary and club job development/career advisor. In the 1980s he left his private practice to become director of medical affairs at Blue Cross and medical director for the Indiana Medicaid program. In 1996 Sandy retired from private practice to enjoy hobbies such as playing bridge, cooking and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia “Kay,” and four children.
