Thomas M. Cooper ’57

Thomas M. Cooper ’57 passed away on November 27, 2022, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Michigan. Tom came to Dartmouth from Detroit University School in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He majored in zoology and was a member (and social chairman) of Phi Tau and Newman Club. He earned his degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. Tom specialized in internal medicine. He served the Grosse Pointe community at Bon Secours Hospital and Ascension St. John Hospital for more than 50 years. He loved world travel and enjoyed spending time with his friends and his large family. He is survived by sons Thomas, Daniel, and Dennis; daughters Cynthia and Kathleen; stepchildren Darlene, Susan, Joann, and Jeanne; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Son Timothy predeceased him.
