Kenneth Gilbert Arico ’52

Kenneth Gilbert Arico ’52 of Framingham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on July 7 following a brief illness. He was the husband of Kathleen, to whom he was married for 59 years before she passed away in 2008. He was born November 15, 1928, in Waltham, Massachusetts, and in 1946 graduated from Belmont High, where he played football. Ken then served 18 months in the U.S. Army before he attended Dartmouth, where he as a member of Chi Phi. He then enlisted back in the Army and served in Korea. Ken retired from the Jordan Marsh Co. and spent the last few years in his second home in Brewster, Massachusetts. He was an avid gardener, bird watcher, and New England sports fan, especially to his beloved Red Sox. He leaves behind daughter Christine and her husband, Stephen; daughter Karen and her husband, George; son Kevin and his wife, Pamela; daughter Sandra and her husband, John. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandsons. His late brother, Joseph Jr., was a member of the class of 1942.
