Eugene Valleau Elsbree II ’55

Eugene Valleau Elsbree II ’55 passed away on October 26, 2021, in Atherton, California. Gene is survived by his wife, Marcy, and sons Mark ’87 and Eugene III. Gene came to Dartmouth from Moses Brown High School in Providence, Rhode Island. He majored in English and was a member of Sigma Chi, Navy ROTC, and the varsity swimming team. After graduation Gene served two years in the Naval Reserve. He then earned an M.B.A. at Stanford Business School and began a 40-year business career in advertising and consumer marketing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Gene was an avid tennis player and served on the board of directors of the Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, California.
