Allan Howard Glick ’60, Tu’61

Allan Howard Glick ’60, Tu’61, died on January 28. Allan—born November 15, 1938, to Henry and Rose Glick—grew up in New Rochelle, New York. At Dartmouth he pledged Tau Epsilon Phi, served four years as a member of the Glee Club, sang as one of the InjunAires, and graduated with an economics major. He and Marilyn were married and spent 1962 in Hanover, where he earned his M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business. Allan’s love for Dartmouth was notable. He was a member of the Hopkins Center board of overseers, was president of the Dartmouth Club of Westchester, New York, and a fundraiser for the Alumni Fund, and directed the 1960 choir at reunion memorial services. In 1968 he began what would become a 51-year career at First Manhattan Co. in New York City, rising to the position of senior managing director. Allan’s Jewish faith formed the foundation of his life. He devoted his talents to Beth El Synagogue of New Rochelle and served as the first chair of the Jewish Communal Network Commission in Manhattan. Allan devoted 15 years to private study of the Torah at Yeshiva University. Allan is survived by Marilyn, daughters Madeleine and Cherise ’88, son-in-law Robert, and three grandchildren, one of whom is a ’19.
