Michael Fred Spicer ’54

Michael Fred Spicer ’54 passed away on September 4, 2019, in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. He came to Dartmouth from South Orange, New Jersey, and nearby Columbia High School. At Dartmouth Mike was a member of the Outing Club, Army ROTC, and a brother of Pi Lambda Phi. He majored in psychology. Mike served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later obtained his law degree from Harvard. He became a partner in the Jamieson, Moore, Peskin, & Spicer law firm. He also represented the N.J. Bankers Association and independent schools and colleges. He was counsel to the Lawrence planning board, chief counsel at Rider College, organizer and coach of the Lawrence Little League, and volunteer for the N.J. Special Olympics. Mike was dedicated to educating children. He was a board member of the Child Guidance Center and the Village Charter School. He is survived by his wife, Willa, and children Andrew, Ellen, and Jennifer.
