Mark Paul Zimmerman ’55

Mark Paul Zimmerman ’55 passed away November 20, 2017. A native of New York City, Paul came to Dartmouth from Bronx High School of Science. He majored in pre-law and was a member of WDBS and Tau Epsilon Phi. Paul graduated from Yale Law School in 1958 and served as a first lieutenant in the Army. After practicing law in New York, he became a Peace Corps director in India and Iran. He also worked for New York Mayor John Lindsay and directed trade associations in Washington, D.C. Paul volunteered as an alumni interviewer for admissions and participated in gatherings with classmates in San Francisco and Washington. Paul is survived by his wife, Margot; children Jonathan, Jeffrey and Julie; and grandchildren Alison, Sarah, Amy, Rebecca, William and Andrew.
