Laurence M. Scoville Jr. ’58

Laurence M. Scoville Jr. ’58 passed away on February 27 in Charleston, South Carolina, after a battle with cancer. Larry was an English major, rowed crew at Dartmouth, and was a brother of Kappa Sigma. He graduated from Michigan Law School and practiced law in Detroit his entire career. In 1999 Larry and his wife, Lynn, retired to Dataw Island, South Carolina, with summers at their cottage in Ontario, Canada, where Larry was actively involved with the famous Stratford theater group. Larry and Pete Durno ’58 were bird-hunting pals since 1960. Larry leaves his wife, Lynn, one daughter, and two sons.
