Jules F. Rose ’57

Jules F. Rose ’57 passed away on June 10, 2015. Jules and his wife, Sheila, lived in Longboat Key, Florida. Jules came to Dartmouth in 1953 from New York City. At Dartmouth Jules majored in history and belonged to Kappa Phi Kappa, the Film Society and the Human Rights Society. He also served on the executive staff of WDBS. Jules was a successful business executive and a champion of the arts. He had a long career with Sloan’s Super Markets and at the time of our 25th reunion was chairman of the board. He was very active in industry organizations and was also a member of the National Council of Christians and Jews. His hobbies were reading, writing, tennis and traveling. Jules is survived by his wife, Sheila, 11 children and nine grandchildren.
