John Murray Wall ’52

John Murray Wall ’52 died April 16 at the Chateau at Moorings Park in Naples, Florida. Jack was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on April 9, 1930. He graduated from East Grand Rapids High School in 1948 and Dartmouth in 1952 with a degree in history. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He later received a master’s in business administration from the University of Michigan. Jack met his wife, Priscilla (“Cilla”) Hall, in 1954 at the wedding of classmate Don Rendall and Mary Hough. Mary was the sister of Jack’s roommate, Randy Hough ’52. Jack and Cilla married in 1955. Jack first worked for several companies in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio after college, and spent 22 years with Standex Corp. in Salem, New Hampshire, retiring in 1992 as vice president of labor relations. Before moving to Naples in 1994, Jack and Cilla lived in North Andover, Massachusetts, and Grantham, New Hampshire. He was a member of the North Andover Country Club and Eastman Links in New Hampshire. He was a golfer and loved the camaraderie of the game. In Naples Jack was a member of Trinity by the Cove Church and was a former member of Quail Creek Country Club. Surviving are Cilla; children Katherine, John Jr., and Elizabeth ’87 and spouses; seven grandchildren, including Emily Rutherford ’16; and one great-grandchild.
