John Francis Gabriel Sr. ’62
John Francis Gabriel Sr. ’62 of Crofton, Maryland, died March 3 at The Willow in Macungie, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Maryann (Gargano) Gabriel. In 1962 he graduated from Dartmouth with a degree in history. He was a brother of Phi Gamma Delta, played varsity football his sophomore year, and ran track as a freshman and sophomore. He was employed by Westinghouse aviation division in Baltimore as a contract negotiator. He was a Catholic. He is survived by son John and his wife, Julie; grandchildren William and Katherine; brother Matthew; and girlfriend Carole Ann.
