John Burke Lane ’47 of Pleasantville, New York, died in Hudson, New York, on June 10, 2009. He entered college from Pleasantville High School and majored in economics. After service in the U.S. Army he worked successively for Grinnell Corp., John H. Petty Corp. and from 1954 to 1981 for Lane Plumbing and Heating Corp. in Pleasantville, retiring as vice president. In addition he served as fire commissioner in Pleasantville. He is survived by his wife, son Richard ’75 and three daughters. He was predeceased by his brother Benjamin ’38.
