James Wilmer Valliant ’49

James Wilmer Valliant ’49 died at home in Centreville, Maryland, on February 22. James came to Dartmouth from Centreville High School, and returned home to run the family fertilizer business. He then taught math and geography at the Gunston School in the same community. James was passionate about sailing, gardening, traveling, and opera. He is survived by his wife, Joann, and three children.
