Hervey F. Hauser Jr. ’73

Hervey F. Hauser Jr. ’73 died on February 2. He came to Dartmouth from Wynne (Arkansas) High School. At the College, Hervey majored in urban studies, rowed on the freshman crew team, played on Interfraternity Council and intramural teams, and was active in the Dartmouth Outing Club. A member of Tabard, Hervey was the house manager. Following graduation he returned to Arkansas and began his business career starting up stereo and record stores in Fayetteville. In 1980 Hervey earned an M.S. in accounting at the University of Arkansas. He worked for a time as a certified public accountant with Aaxion Corp. in Conway, Arkansas, and for the KPMG accounting firm. Transitioning to public service with the State of Arkansas, Hervey finished his long professional career in 2019 as the chief financial officer for the Supreme Court of Arkansas Administrative Office of Courts. He is survived by sons Harrison, Hayden, and Rhodes.
