Harry Shulman ’80

Harry Shulman ’80 passed away peacefully on June 21, 2021, from complications of a heart transplant, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife, Annie, children Zoe and Sam, brother John, and dog Bailey. Harry was born in Washington, D.C., October 11, 1958, to Steve and Sandy Shulman. After graduating from Dartmouth in 1980, he took two years off to travel and then attended law school at the University of Virginia, graduating in 1985. He went on to practice law in Colorado (both Denver and Aspen) for Holland and Hart. He met Annie in 1999, they married the following year, and he moved to San Francisco to join her. In California he enjoyed riding his bicycle through the hills of Marin and Sonoma. When his heart began to fail and no longer allowed him to pedal as vigorously, he switched to an e-bike. He is remembered fondly for his love of life, warmth, generous spirit, and passion for fighting for the underdog.
