Frederick West Page ’54

Frederick West Page ’54 died on January 28 in Caldwell, New Jersey. He was born in Orange, New Jersey, to Dorothy and Frederick Page in 1932. He had resided in West Caldwell for more than 50 years. Fred came to Dartmouth from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, where he attended Montclair High School. At Dartmouth he majored in economics and was a member of Phi Kappa Psi. He then attended NYU Graduate Business School, where he received his M.B.A. in 1960. Fred served for two years in the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps in Panama during the Korean War. He established a successful 34-year career with the Schering Corp. in Kenilworth, New Jersey, where he served as president of the animal health division for 10 years. He was well known as an avid N.Y. Mets fan and for his sense of humor. He enjoyed golf, tennis, reading, and especially spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by Miriam “Mimi,” his wife of 60 years; son Bill; daughter Janet and her husband, Emmett; son Jimmy and his wife, Jaime; Charlie, partner of Fred’s predeceased son, Tommy; sister Joan and her husband, Bob; and grandchildren Audrey, Dennis, Matthew, Andrew, Tara, Colleen, Owen, Alden, Ruby, Ryan, and Katie.
