Franklin Ward Rowley ’55

Franklin Ward Rowley ’55 passed away on October 20, 2020. He is survived by Thelma, his wife of 56 years; sons Ward, Phil, and Steve; and grandchildren Casey, Travis, and Ali.Ward was raised in Short Hills, New Jersey, and came to Dartmouth from the Choate School. Ward majored in sociology and was a member of Sigma Chi. In 1977 he earned an advanced management degree from the Harvard School of Business.Ward’s business career included three years with W.R. Grace, 11 years with Exxon, and 24 years with Allied Signal (now Honeywell), where he became vice president of the international marketing fibers division.
