Elisabeth Ann Morrison ’78

Elisabeth Ann Morrison ’78 of Cambridge, Massachusetts, died on April 10, 2013. The daughter of Mary Louise Underdown and William Morrison, Elisabeth grew up in New Jersey. After graduation she moved to Cambridge and took up union organizing with office workers at Boston University. She received her law degree from Northeastern Law School. Her primary focus as an attorney was the welfare of abused children. She also worked for a period at Fidelity Investments. Most recently Elisabeth provided care for dogs and cats. For decades she was an active member of the Cambridge Riverside District of Soka Gakkai International USA, Buddhist Organization for Peace, Culture and Education. Elisabeth’s friends and family remember her strong spirit, incisive mind and spiritual depth as well as her strong personal resiliency in the face of much personal suffering. Elisabeth leaves her uncle and aunt Sam and Lynn, cousins Kathy, Julie, Chris, Anne and Bill, half-sister Isis and her former husband, Steve.
