Edward G. Barry ’55

Edward G. Barry ’55, Ph.D., passed away on September 22, 2022, in Durham, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Coyla, and sons Alan and Neil. Ed came to Dartmouth from East Denver High School in Colorado. He majored in biology and was a member of Kappa Sigma and the Human Rights Society. Ed earned his doctorate in biology from Stanford University. He then began a successful career as a professor and geneticist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
