Clay loved family and friends, good food and drink, military history and toy soldiers. Marilyn, his of wife of 62 years, daughter Sherry, son Bradford, one granddaughter and two sisters survive him. Clay’s grandfather, William, was a member of the class of 1890, and Clay’s father, William Jr., was a member of the class of 1928. Other Cogswell alumni go back to the class of 1794, according to family records.
