Alton M. Chapman Sr. ’76 passed away on August 30, 2017, in his hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Alton devoted his life to helping young people in all manner of ways and circumstances.
Judy Yablong Judlo ’76 passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2016. Judy came to Dartmouth from Wilmette, Illinois. While at Dartmouth she participated in academic and athletic life.
Craig Randall Triplett ’76 passed away on March 29 as a result of severe spinal cord injuries sustained eight years ago in a bicycle accident that left him a paraplegic.
Robert B. Bresticker ’76 died of pancreatic cancer at his home on November 1, 2015. He was born January 15, 1955, in Pittsburgh and came to Dartmouth from Bethpage, New York. At Dartmouth he belonged to Phi Tau.
Duncan M. “Sandy” Fitchet Jr. ’76 died on September 20, 2014, following a tragic accident in his Etna, New Hampshire, home. He is survived by his wife, Jane, and daughter Margaret ’08.
Melanie Fisher Matte ’76 passed away at home on September 17, 2014. During her time in Hanover she was the first female president of The Daily Dartmouth and an active member of Phi Tau. She went on to earn her J.D. and M.B.A.
Janet L. Sorice ’76 died at home in Norwich, Vermont, on September 24, 2014, following a 30-year fight against lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), a rare disorder that destroys lungs and kidneys.
Timothy Jarrett Sullivan ’76 of Sterling, Virginia, died unexpectedly at home on December 18, 2013. He came to Hanover from Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia, where he was an All-Metropolitan soccer player.
Bruce Bokor ’76 of Northampton, Massachusetts, died unexpectedly May 28, 2014, at his home. After Dartmouth Bruce went on to be a lifelong scholar, with a probing and compassionate intellect.
