John H.A. “Herbie” Wilkinson ’66 died peacefully at his home in Richards Landing, Ontario, on February 24, 2009. John contracted polio in his youth. He graduated from high school at Trinity College in Port Hope, Ontario.
William K. Woodard III ’66 passed away at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on February 7, 2003, after a long illness. Bill was born in Boston and graduated from Valley High School in Albuquerque.
William Randolph Adams ’66 died on January 14, 2009, of pancreatic cancer. Born in Cleveland and raised in Cincinnati, he came to Dartmouth from Mariemont (Ohio) High School.
Scott Bowron ’66 died of cancer in September 2008. He was a graduate of Palm Beach (Florida) High School. At Dartmouth Scott was a biology major and member of Tau Epsilon Pi, where he was pledgemaster-warden, and the DOC.
Abbott Carson “Kit” Combes ’66, an editor at The New York Times Magazine who helped create its “About Men” column, died from lung cancer in December 2008 in Mount Kisco, New York.
Richard A. Kaiser ’66, a surgeon in New Jersey for more than 30 years, died in November 2008. A native of Newburgh, New York, Rich came to Dartmouth from the Newburgh Free Academy.
