George Brannen ’62 died December 1, 2017. He was a Phi Delt who came to Dartmouth from Geneva, Illinois, and majored in economics. He went on to graduate with a J.D.
Richard Norman ’62 died of myeloid leukemia November 29, 2017, at his home in Fairlee, Vermont. He is survived by Muriel, his wife of 57 years, two daughters and a son and their families.
Bernard T. “Ted” Lane ’62 died in Salinas, California, on December 14, 2016. He was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a rare disease without cure, in 2005.
Paul B. “Peter” Hartley II ’62 passed away on February 18 following lumbar surgery for severe spinal stenosis. He made his home in Houston. Peter was born in Jacksonville, Illinois, the son of Dr. Paul and Marta Hartley.
Jack M. Seymour Jr. ’62 died on September 26, 2016, at his home in Saratoga, California. As a Navy “brat” Jack grew up around the world, launching first on an academic interest and then a career in world affairs.
William H. Edgar ’62 of Palm Desert, California, died on June 17 in Santa Barbara, California, of pancreatic cancer. Bill came to Dartmouth from Winchester (Massachusetts) High School and Hebron Academy.
Rosbon Daniel Bridger Whedbee ’62 passed away on September 28, 2012, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. “Ros” was born and raised in the hills of North Carolina.
Joseph Jerome Phifer ’62 of Hollywood, Florida, died on June 14, 2012. Jerry was born in Germantown, Pennsylvania, and raised in North Miami, Florida. He graduated from North Miami High School, where he was an active athlete.
Peter Allen Sherwood ’62 of Santa Fe, New Mexico, passed away on May 20, 2013. He prepared for Dartmouth at the Pingry School in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
Samuel Burtner Ulrich ’62 died at home in Randolph, Vermont, on October 5, 2012. He came to Dartmouth from Hamden (Connecticut), where he was active in student government and managed the basketball team.
