Robert Jackson “Jack” Forcier ’57 of Newfane, Vermont, died January 3, 2015, at home in hospice care surrounded by his wife Diane “Dion” and beloved cats Victor and Yasmini. Jack spent most of his life in the Hanover area.
Robert Allen Goodman ’57 passed away in Cleveland, Ohio, on October 24, 2014. He was born and raised in the Cleveland area, graduating from Cleveland Heights High School in 1953.
Ron “Doc” Marino ’57 died in Tampa, Florida, on August 21, 2014. He suffered from numerous medical problems. Ron grew up in New Castle, Pennsylvania, and attended public schools there before heading to Dartmouth in 1953.
William Ashton Pownall ’57 died August 20, 2014, at his home in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. Bill prepared for Dartmouth at Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, while living in Luxembourg.
Paul F. Schmitt ’57 died at his home in Larkspur, California, on August 5, 2014. The cause of death was pneumonia, but he had suffered from several illnesses in recent years.
Ellsworth “Bud” Wheeler Jr. ’57, Ph.D., died May 17, 2014, at his home in Laconia, New Hampshire. Bud prepared for Dartmouth at Amherst (Massachusetts) High School.
Ronald D. Fraser ’57 died at his home in Aurora, Illinois, on February 13, 2014. He grew up in the Chicago area and spent his entire life and career there. Ron came to Dartmouth from Oak Park/River Forest High School.
Robert E. Lee ’57 passed away on April 4, 2014. Since retiring, Bob and his family split their time between homes in Rancho Mirage, California, and Hayden Lake, Idaho.
Robert T. Dennis ’57 passed away in Boston, Virginia, on February 10, 2014. He suffered from progressive supranuclear palsy. He lived in Flint Hill, Virginia.
Bruce Henry Hack ’57 died May 31, 2014, in Florida. A third-generation Dartmouth student, Bruce grew up in the shadow of the College in Norwich, Vermont.
Malcolm I. Lindsay Jr. ’57 passed away in Rochester, Minnesota, on February 14, 2014. He came to Dartmouth in 1953 from Washburn High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he was class valedictorian.
