John R. Jeanneney ’57 passed away on July 5 in Berne, New York, with his family at his bedside. John came to Dartmouth from New Paltz (New York) High School.
Henry Crommelin Jr. ’57 passed away April 4. Henry graduated from Phillips Andover. He majored in history, belonged to Chi Phi, and participated in the DOC all four years and in Winter Carnival planning.
John O. Harper ’57 was diagnosed with cancer and passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 2. “Jigger” graduated from Harwich (Massachusetts) High School. He majored in economics, was a member of Beta Theta Pi, and in Navy ROTC.
John VanRensselaer King ’57 passed away on March 26 in Daytona Beach, Florida. Jack graduated from Nyack (New York) High School. He majored in economics, was a member of Sigma Chi, and was involved in the swim team and DOC.
Clifton C. Olds ’57 died on April 8. Clif came to Dartmouth from Minnetonka (Minnesota) High School. He graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a major in art history.
Richard M. Streeter ’57 passed away at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, on April 8. Dick graduated from Rothesay Collegiate School in New Brunswick.
Arthur K. “Pete” Birnie ’57 passed away on November 18, 2020, after a long battle with dementia. A New Englander at heart, Pete was born and raised in Winchester, Massachusetts, and graduated from nearby Belmont Hill School.
Rodney F. Du Bois ’57 longtime resident of Hanover, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 11, 2020. Rod graduated from Northfield Mount Hermon School.
Corrin John Hodgson ’57 of Rochester, Minnesota, died on November 28, 2020, of advanced prostate cancer and heart and lung disease. John graduated from Rochester (Minnesota) High School.
Frank B. Hoefle ’57, a longtime resident of Haworth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in his home on April 19, 2020. Frank graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, New York.
