Robert D. “Dan” Vock ’54 passed away unexpectedly on May 22 in Rye Brook, New York. Dan was born in Paris and survived World War II as a “hidden child” in central France. He studied at the Lycee Charlemagne in Paris.
James Richard Love ’54 passed away on July 13. Jim came to Dartmouth from Stow, Ohio, and Stow High School, where he played football, basketball, and baseball. He was also active in the National Forensic League and Hi-Y.
Robert Brannan Durham Jr. ’54 of Haverford, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 10. Bob came to Dartmouth from Atlantic City High School and Ventnor City, New Jersey.
David Jon Mandelbaum ’54 passed away February 5 in Los Angeles after a brief battle with lymphoma. Born in New York City on March 26, 1933, “Mandy” attended the Horace Mann School in Riverdale, New York.
Richard A. Watt ’54 passed away on April 4. He was living in Boca Raton, Florida, at the time of his passing. Dick came to Dartmouth from Garwood, New Jersey, having attended Jonathan Dayton Regional High School there.
John Atwell Wolfer ’54 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 5. At Dartmouth he majored in English, was a brother of Delta Theta Chi, and was involved in swimming.
DeWalt Hosmer Ankeny Jr. ’54 died at home January 18 surrounded by his five children and less than 24 hours after the death of “Margie,” his wife of 67 years.
