Edward Crane ’45 died on May 11. He was born in Burlington, Vermont, and graduated from Dartmouth and the University of Vermont Medical School before serving in the Army and Air Force.
John Alexander MacDonald Jr. ’45 died on November 25, 2013, after a long decline from Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. John grew up in Waban, Massachusetts, graduating from Newton High School, followed by a year at Hebron Academy.
Robert Livingston Steiner ’45, economist, businessman and senior staff economist at the Federal Trade Commission, died on October 26 in Washington, D.C.
Daniel Dechert Carpenter Sr. ’45, formerly of Easthampton, Massachusetts, and Pembroke, Bermuda, died in New Haven, Connecticut, on August 21. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Jane, and their son William.
John W. McCauley III ’45 of Wilmington, Delaware, died of natural causes on November 7, 2012, at the Kendal at Longwood Retirement Community. He was with his entire immediate family when he passed.
George Ehinger Jr. ’45 passed away peacefully on April 21 in Wilton, Connecticut. George found true love in his life, first with Marilyn (deceased in 1993), his wife of 40 years with whom he had three children.
Robert Ely Wright Freeman ’45 of Stuart, Florida, passed away May 6, surrounded by his family. Born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Bob lived most of his life in Westfield, New Jersey; Normandy Beach, New Jersey; and Stuart.
David D. Kirkpatrick Jr. ’45, M.D., of Meadville, Pennsylvania, died April 21 at his residence following a period of failing health. He was born May 20, 1923, in Meadville and graduated from nearby Saegertown High School.
