Coming on the heels of Homecoming Weekend in October as I write, and knowing we will be in the thick of winter when you all read this alongside a feature story in the magazine on the winter Olympics prompted me to search for a link. Homecoming?
There was a tease of spring this last weekend in February in the northeast as warm air and sunny skies helped the winter snows begin to recede.
“Eh, what’s up, Doc?” was first delivered in 1940 by Bugs Bunny, while nonchalantly chewing on a carrot in the cartoon, A Wild Hare.
With apologies to Clement Clarke Moore and Santa Claus, I share the following tale.
