This column is being written at the last minute before deadline to include a description of the weekend we just shared with more than 40 fellow alumni at a “Dartmouth on Location” program in Staunton, Virginia.

We find ourselves in June, the month of college reunions, where we learn great things about all the people who attend these functions. However this year we do not have a ’69 gathering in Hanover so there is no such news to report.

Not necessarily the winter of our discontent, but we have certainly seen more snow and bitter cold in Virginia than we had been told to expect by family and friends who live here.
