William “Woody” Flowers, Army ROTC, completed law school and practiced almost a year before being called to active duty.
Sixty-four is 70, and 80 of us celebrated our 70th birthdays in San Francisco (September 6-9, 2012) together with wives and guests numbering 60.
We had only three classmates from Tennessee, all on the freshman football team: Bob Stepp, Dave Lawson and John Lane,who was recruited from Columbia, Tennessee, by Bob Blackman.
Fifty years ago last September we arrived in Hanover and started to explore our new freedom. We were too young to vote or drink, not that we didn’t imbibe occasionally.
