Class Note 1953. As I write this, our part of New Hampshire is suffering from a “high-alert” drought. We’ve had very little rain all summer and have been asked to conserve water wherever possible.

As I write this Dartmouth Commencement exercises are taking place on the Green. Fortunately, the cool and rainy weather we’ve been experiencing all spring has lifted and the sun is shining on the class of 2025.

As I write these notes, winter is creating what is probably its last performance of the year as it blankets my house and environs with more than one foot of snow. I am reminded of the beauty of a winter’s day in Hanover.
