Class Note 1938

Issue

Jul - Aug 2012

Received a note from Bob Mussey—it was so good to hear from him. He has moved a couple of times (like many of you) and understood my “state.” “I have understandably slowed up; I passed the annual driver’s test seniors get after 85—I do not go long distances without a daughter, and we split the driving. I go to frequent concerts at the University of Illinois Performing Arts Center, volunteer weekly at the hospital where I’ve worked for many years, belong to a discussion lunch group which meets monthly…and so on.” And I thought I was busy! Keep up the good work, Bob, and continue to let us know how you are doing.

Received notice of the passing of Dr. Edward Barden Hidler, who passed away in February 2011. Ed was born in Youngstown, Ohio, moved to California in 1950 and lived at Half Moon Bay, California, from 2008 to 2011. He worked in business and later as a college professor in psychology and sociology before retiring in 1978. He was also a marriage and family counselor. Our sympathy to his wife, Jackie, and their family.

Please: A very important event is forthcoming—75 years out in 2013. I would like to hear from you with your thoughts! I know and understand that we (yes, we!) are getting older; but, again, please let me know your thoughts!

Much love—you are always in my thoughts. Love to you, Al, my dearest friend!
