Class Note 1938

Issue

Nov - Dec 2014

I had the delightful pleasure of speaking with Adrian Weiss and his dear wife, Natalie, last evening—both are enjoying their days in the Miami area. As Adrian said, “We are getting along just like everyone else—slowly!” Like all of us, they have their health issues, but are able to get around and enjoy each other’s company and each day!

No other news to offer. As I write this, Class Officers Weekend is coming up—September 12 and 13. I wish I were able to bring all of you with me for a walk down memory lane, enjoying the good young days. Those days that Richard would attend, I could see his step increasing with every step taken—I used to say he gained 10 years back when he returned to the Big Green. I can still see him walking down the lanes of the Green by Baker Library, and I picture all of you at one time doing the same—strutting your stuff! Try to remember those wonderful years with a bit of laughter and even a tear—why not? They truly were wonderful days!

As you read this you will be either getting ready for, or just completing, your Thanksgiving holiday. I know what I am thankful for and that’s the wonderful memories I have of all of you welcoming me into your fold and reliving your memories for me so that I could be a part of them too! I know I’ve said this many times before, but, you have to realize that these years (from 1981 to 2005) were my golden years shared with you and my Richard—and are now my memories too. So, thank you!

Stay well and know that you are always in my thoughts! A very happy holiday season to all of my dear comrades in arms!
