Class Note 1938

Issue

Jan - Feb 2011

Greetings. Hope your holiday season was happy and healthy! As I’m writing this in October 2010, I’m assuming we will be in the thick of winter here in New England but you never know.

Received the class of 1938 listing of classmates and widows; the number of classmates remaining I count at 62—a good number indeed!

I received a truly unexpected gift in the mail in the form of a book written by the Rev. Robert C. Harvey—a surprise and a truly appreciated one! The name of the book is To the Isles Afar Off. Anglican Bishop Robert C. Harvey has spent a lifetime walking the paths of history, legend and faith and presents here a detailed picture of the British Church from its earliest days to the reign of Henry VIII. He traces the role of Joseph of Arimathea in the founding of the British Church and explores the deep Celtic roots of the British and Gallican churches. The drama unfolds against the panorama of Britain’s eventful relationship with the Rome of the Caesars, its would-be conquerors and eventually its ally.” Congratulations, Reverend Harvey! Your classmates salute you.

No other news at this time. Stay healthy and always know who is thinking of you!
