Class Note 1938
Sept - Oct 2014
June 27, the beginning of summer and, with it the heat has already moved into New England—it will be Indian summer soon!
I have no news from our classmates to offer, which at this point is a good thing. I’ve been thinking about some of the more recent classmates I’ve talked to (Al Wolff, Fran Mooney, Adrian Weiss)—you’ve popped into and out of my mind and I am hoping you are well. Same goes for all of the amazing men of ’38.
I did receive information regarding the Class of 1938 Scholarship Fund; the scholars for this year are Iris G. Yu ’14 from Wading River, New York, and Andrew C.R. Zulker ’15 from Barrington, Rhode Island. “The generosity of the class of 1938 makes it possible for talented students to enjoy all that Dartmouth has to offer regardless of their financial need. You have given the gift of the Dartmouth experience and the promise of transformation and discovery that it embodies.”
I can only hope and pray that all of you realize what you have done for the individuals who will experience what you experienced and made you who and what you are—truly amazing! Someday these students will be doing the same for others, and the beat goes on and on and never a beat is dropped. Just think that you are a part of something that will forever live because you lived the experience!
“Dartmouth provides more than an exceptional educational experience. It empowers them with the courage and confidence to take on challenges in their lives, their communities and the wider world—thank you for your gift and the lifetime of opportunities it will inspire,” writes the College. Awesome sentiments for an awesome and amazing group of people—the men and women of Dartmouth—oh, such joy you must feel!
Please stay well and know you are only a thought away!
