Class Note 1938

Issue

Jul - Aug 2014

It is finally spring in the western part of Massachusetts in New England. Let me clarify this—it is spring every now and then! One thing about New England, you never know what to expect in April; high 60s one day, snow and sleet the very next morning. But that is what we Northerners like: living dangerously and never knowing what to expect.

I have no news of or from classmates at this time; in some cases this is a good thing! I have not received any notices of passing of any of our dear classmates, and this is a very good thing!

While you are reading this, be aware that graduation has come and gone in Hanover, a very special time indeed invoking many happy and bittersweet memories for all members of the class of ’38.

The Big Green is never lacking for something to keep them busy, most especially the alumni office. It is busily engaged in creating files of newly appointed alumni from the class of 2014 and preparing for the next Class Officers Weekend, which will be taking place in September. As you look back to those golden years of 1934-38, you are thinking just how fast those years, and those many years thereafter, just seemed to fly by!

Know that I think of you often and fondly!
