Class Note 1938

Issue

July - Aug 2010

Greetings, ’38ers. Haven’t heard from anyone (not a good thing!) and have not received any news on the passing of a ’38er (a very good thing!)

That being said, at this time I would like to ask if there is anyone from the class of 1938 who would like to take over the responsibilities of class secretary? Perhaps there is someone who can motivate classmates to provide information on what is going on in their lives to share with their peers? The camaraderie and solidarity among the gentlemen of this class (along with their wives and significant others) is one unable to be compared to anything else I’ve ever seen. Throughout the last 64-plus years you have one constant and that is the time shared, the memories created and the love of your Dartmouth; and maybe this is something that a true classmate can bring to the column. I’m not saying I want to give up the column—far from it—but maybe there is someone out there who can bring a new perspective to each and every one of you. Please let me know!

Class Officer’s Weekend is scheduled for October 1-2. The theme of this year’s program is Dartmouth’s global reach in such areas as healthcare, sustainability and community building. Those attending will have the opportunity to learn about new technology and media tools, meet with class officer peers and hear from Dartmouth President Dr. Jim Yong Kim. Roundtable discussions on money matters and communication issues will also take place. If there is anything you would like me to pass along, please let me know either by mail or e-mail.

I’m thinking of you and praying for your good health and happiness!
