Class Note 2019
Issue
November-December 2026
Class Note 2019. Hi, ’19s! Coming to you live from the gorgeous wedding weekend of a beautiful 2019 love story: Audrey (Scott) Spahr and Carson Spahr got married in Massachusetts in August. It was very special to watch my 2018 winter N.Y.C. off-term roommate marry my Rauner 3 freshman floormate, and it’s so magical to watch a marriage blossom from a 2018 spring Last Chances match. Juliana (Overbey) McArtor and Karina Korsh stunned as bridesmaids, and my fiancé, Tom, and I had an incredible time at a star-studded table with Paulomi Rao, Sarah Kovan, Cameron White, Mark Daniels, and wedding officiant Kevin Mercado. Kevin is ordained in the state of Massachusetts, in case anyone else would like to enlist him to get them married.
It’s been a summer of love stories in the class of 2019. Molly Rossman shared some happy wedding news from June, writing, “Several ’19s reunited to celebrate the marriage of Casey Vaughan (now Casey McCarthy) and her husband, Matt. Alicea Olascoaga, Joelle (Park) Oh, Angela Liu, Serena Zhu, Weiling Huang, and Maggie Stiefvater joined for a beautiful day filled with lots of love and joy and celebration, capped off with a bumping dance floor that we all held down late into the night!”
From west to east: Emma Kennelly got married in Napa, California, in August, reported by Kierra Sweeney. Jackie Perron-Smith and Will Emery ’20 got married in Montana, also in August, with plenty of ’19s and other Dartmouth friends in attendance, including Nicole DeBlasio, who was kind enough to write in with the news. And in Florida, Aishu (Nallapillai) Bertasi and Chris Bertasi tied the knot in June in what Asa Toyoda described as “a freshman floor love story—Brown 2!” And to think, people didn’t want to live in the Choates.
The celebrations of love will continue into the fall and beyond: Cat Storch is marrying John Robinson ’17 in September.
Max Lurie and Tess Reiman got engaged in Richmond, England, in August. Tess, Margot Putnam, friend of the class Rebecca Putnam, and I got to debrief the full proposal story at Mount Desert Island Ice Cream in D.C.
As for professional pursuits, Rachel Kesler finished grad school in New York City in July before heading to Utah to work as a river rafting guide. Scott Lloyd heard from Jack Traynor that Gage Guerra recently helped ghostwrite the debut album of a sport analyst’s country rock music career.
Keep up the great work, ’19s. Hope everyone had as great of a summer as I did, and I hope to see many of you at our N.Y.C. mini-reunion on October 3!
