Class Note 2004

Issue

November-December 2026

Class Note 2004. Hi, ’04s, and happy holidays! I know I say this every year, but where does the time go? It feels like we just started 2026 and now the year is coming to a close. I do hope this year has been a good one for you and your family. For those who may have experienced some bumps, the good news is 2027 is around the corner! I am guessing we are all in the middle of a whirlwind right now known as the holiday season, so here’s hoping you get a quiet moment at some point in the coming weeks to catch up with some old college friends while drinking hot chocolate or maybe something a bit stronger.
To start, I am happy to report that John Karl hosted another ’04 mini-reunion this past June in Hanover at Molly’s (oh the bread!). In addition to John, the other attendees were Sarah (Maxell) Crosby and husband Dan ’02, Steve Zyck,J.P. Connolly,Lauren Groves, and John’s wife, Anne ’06. I hear the event was a blast and that another one is already in the works!
Let’s also congratulate Lena Golze Desmond and her husband, who welcomed Desmond Michael Lucas Briggs into the world this past August. I understand Desmond was born three weeks early, so he was teeny tiny size but with enormously adorable dimples. I also have it on good authority that Desmond’s parents will in no way try to embarrass him or his sister, Lucie, with Lucy-and-Desi jokes as they get older. I look forward to future updates to confirm, and cheers to you and your family, Lena!
And with that, I hope everyone has a very magical and meaningful end to your year! It’s a real pleasure and honor to share your stories with the class each year, and I am grateful for each and every one of you. I also look forward to continuing this journey in the coming year. Until then, stay merry and bright, ’04s!
