Class Note 2024. The Banana Ball is an exhibition professional baseball league that involves modified rules, comedy, and even choreographed dances. On a cool evening at the Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington, Clark Gilmore, a pitcher for the Indianapolis Clowns in the Banana Ball, was wandering through the crowds prior to the start of a game. Upon noticing the large, green “D” emblazoned on Dave Cross’ ’69 hat, he introduced himself, which prompted a very pleasant and interesting conversation between these two Chi Heorots that continued post-game.
